Power Generation – Partnerships with Utilities
“A New Way of Addressing Critical Infrastructure Requirements”

The Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) Reform Strategy and the Roadmap is intended reform initiatives and key actions covering the period from 2014 – 2025.

Power Generation

Distributed Power Generation - GSLA and it partners have developed a successful energy storage system that can be used as a complete power source without the requirement of an electrical grid. GSLA is working closely with it partners and the government of Tanzania for rural and urban electrification, microgrids, and grid scale power.

Urban Household Electrification

  • New Customer connections in urban areas – 300,000 homes
  • Lithium-Ion Batteries and Solar Panels for each home
  • No Infrastructure – Cost Saving
  • Connect customer to grid in the future
  • Load analysis required before customer cut-over
  • New Customer Database Shared with TANESCO

Homes and Small and Medium Size Businesses

  • Electrical Appliances Adoption
    • Clean Cookstoves
    • Small Refrigerators
    • Clean Water (boil water)
    • Cell phone, Laptop, and Mobile Appliance Chargers

Grid Power / Energy Storage / Grid Connectivity

  • GE and SunEdison power generation and grid storage
  • 100 MW Solar Energy Storage (multiple locations)
  • 100 MW Natural Gas Power Generation (multiple locations)
  • GSLA support TANESCO in Power Trading

Sisal waste to energy - Biogas Power Generation

Housing | Power Generation | Grid Storage

Green Solar Louisiana produces Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) used in building walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs. Our panels are manufactured with polystyrene foam glued between two fiber cement surface facings. As part of each panel, the foam structural elements add tremendous strength. A typical GSL 4-1/2 inch thick SIP has an R-value of R-30 or higher establishing an energy efficient and cost effective envelope.

Our homes are:

Energy Efficient

Earthquake Resistant

Fire Resistant

Highly Wind Resistant

Termite & Pest Resistant

Water Resistant

Mold / Mildew Resistant

Superior Indoor Air Quality

Superior Sound Reduction

Faster Build Time

Significantly Lower Construction Cost

Environmentally Friendly

Structured Insulated Panels

We manufacture Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for use in building walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs. Our panels are manufactured by injecting polystyrene foam between two surface facings. As part of each panel, the foam structural elements add tremendous strength. A typical GSM 4-1/2 inch thick SIP has an R-value of R-25 or higher establishing an energy efficient and cost effective envelope. Future developments include panels made from sisal plants with a semi-concrete backing.

Housing demands in Africa, China, India, and other regions of the world are at an all time high. Green Solar Louisiana offer quick turn, turn-key housing solutions.

Construction Management

The deal is done and you have a contract. Now, what’s next? The next most important next step is to go back and decompose what has been agreed to. This means further develop contract requirements so that you can see the Requirements Phase, Development Phase, Integration and Test Phase, and Commission Phase. Set realistic expectations using Requirements Management to plan, execute, and deliver the project. Create milestone requirements and events for each phase of the project and ensure that compliance is met and signed off. Our recommendation is to develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) showing Requirements, Labor/Cost, and Schedule, and management project according to milestone events.

Effective Project Management enables Risk Management. Perceived risk is the number one factor that must be removed, eliminated, or mitigated in a timely manner. Risk management is to ensure that the project meet or exceed customer expectations, requirements, and business success criteria. GSLA creates a Risk Management Framework for each project and drives visibility down to lower level requirements.

Our confidence comes from our experience and processes in managing complex projects and delivering them on time. Our Infrastructure Development Team can provide you with the necessary assessment and project management expertise to successfully execute and deliver your project to your customer.
